Action Thriller Novels - The Bourne Identity (Robert Ludlum)

Timeless? 

This is one of those books that just doesn't age. It doesn't need high-tech content, it's just a simple story about...well, read it. It could be set in 1900, or 2050 - that's it's strength.

So, what does Ludlum bring to it that makes it timeless? A universal story. This was the start of yet another successful franchise, with the Jason Bourne character.

As I write this, it's twenty five years since the book was written in 1986, and 10 years since the movie was made. The movie stands the test of time too.
