2006 was THE BIG ONE

Early January departure from Las Palmas for Cape Verde (Sal and Sao Vicente), then on down to Recife in Brazil, 1900 miles in 12 days @ 6.3 kts, sailed all the way but for 1/2 hr engine at each end! From Recife to Salvador for Carneval, then down to Rio. From Rio to Bahia da Isla Grande for a month. Then back to Salvador to provision before the slow 5,400 miles non stop (39 days) to Santa Maria in the Azores. Then back to Plymouth.
